Description
Are you caring for an aging or disabled family member? Or maybe you’re an older adult yourself and are preparing for the years ahead? Join us for an insightful and empowering seminar designed to provide guidance and resources for families navigating the challenges of aging and disability.
Seminar topics will include:
- Hosting a Multi-Generational Family Finance Summit: Seth Cromer of Hendricks County Wealth Advisors will be discussing the importance of multigenerational planning to ensure financial stability, clear expectations, and well-coordinated long-term care across family members. By proactively addressing these topics, families can reduce conflict, preserve wealth, and provide better support for aging loved ones. Attendees will learn practical strategies for initiating meaningful conversations and creating comprehensive plans that align values and responsibilities across generations.
- Navigating the Complexities of Medicare: Medicare is more than just choosing a health plan. Helee Adkins, Health Benefits Specialist, Adkins Consulting, will explain the key decisions, enrollment deadlines, and common pitfalls that can impact coverage and costs, helping attendees better understand their options and avoid mistakes that can lead to lasting penalties or unexpected costs.
- Transitioning Your Living Situation: In most people’s life, there comes a point when there is a need to change your living situation as you get older. Whether that means a move to assisted living, or simply downsizing your life, it’s important to know what to expect and what steps to take. DeAnna Murphy, Team Leader of Murphy Group Realtors, will explain how older adults and their families can navigate the transition of downsizing with confidence, compassion, and a clear plan.
- Estate Planning Concerns: Almost anyone can benefit from having control over what happens to their assets when they’re gone. An effective estate plan can help ensure that a person’s wishes are carried out correctly, and that the financial needs of surviving family members will be taken care of. Jamie Harrell, Attorney and Owner at Harrell Law, will discuss the basics of estate planning and what to consider when creating a plan for your own or a loved one’s assets.
